He is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a degree in building technology. Rex is a previous president of the Montgomery County Homebuilders Association, named “Builder of The Year” in 2013, current board member of the MCHBA, previous board member of the Chamber of Commerce, and previous board member of the Downtown River District. Hawkins Homes is also an A+ accredited business with the Better Business Bureau.

Rex is married to Kendra Hawkins, who is the interior and exterior designer for Hawkins Homes LLC. Together, Rex and Kendra have three children: Kourtnee, Madison and Greyson. They strive to build top of the line homes for the Clarksville community. They have built many homes throughout the years in subdivisions that include: Glenellen Landing, River Bend Landing, River Heights, Sango Crossing, Sango Commons, Parkview Village, Cross Winds, Farmington, Franklin Meadows, Fox Crossing, Waterford, Pine Ridge, Eagle’s Landing, Eagles Bluff, Sango Mills, Reserve at Sango Mills, Poplar Hills, and Whitetail Ridge as well as developed many communities.
